An international organisation requested our advice during a corporate investigation into accusations of harassment. There were doubts over whether these accusations were made in good faith. We provided investigators with advice on how to deal with false statemens based on the literature. Investigators could then argue that the accusations were false and had been brought in to tarnish the reputation of a highly-placed official in the company. We were able to guide the investigators on how to proceed, by describing the motivations that were behind the accusations, explaining how to conduct several interviews and adopt strategies, and finally, how to formulate the viewpoints in the report.
