Social Safety and Concerning Behaviour
On a regular basis we conduct training sessions on awareness and social safety in organisations. The training is an interactive event where participants will learn how to deal with different kinds of problematic situations. The training has originally been developed for Amsterdam UMC.
Structured Approach to Concerning Workplace Incidents (SACWI)
During this two-day training, the participant learns how to deal with concerning workplace incidents. On the basis of many years of experience with concerning workplace incidents, we have developed a six-step approach for non-experts how to address situations like stalking, bullying, intimidation and harassment. The first day will be about the essentials of the six-step approach. The training consists of a lot of case work participants have to take issue with. The second day focusses on how to approach further investigations and interviewing skills.
Threat Assessment and Management
This is a one-day training event in which the focus lies on one specific form of workplace violence: communicated threats.
People in the public eye and in high positions – such as representatives of organisations, political figures, directors of corporate business and celebrities – seem to be more at risk of becoming a victim of unwanted written communications. The identity of the perpetrator is not always known, and sometimes the victim receives multiple communications from the same person. Our clients often wonder whether this behaviour will escalate to more dangerous levels, if it will continue for long and what they can do to stop harassment?
This event will explain psychological and linguistic assessment techniques, psychological characteristics of perpetrators and methods of risk-assessment. Part of the program will be dedicated to offender profiling and how to translate acquired behavioural data to concrete investigative actions. Over the course of the day, case studies will be used to illustrate assessment and investigative methods.
Strategic Interviewing
Our training consists of a 8 module programme where participants will learn the essentials of the interview process and how to understand investigative actions.
The participant will learn to construct and to perform a professional investigative interview plan and how to incorporate acquired (behavioural) information into the interview. The participant will practise with alternative interview approaches that he or she would not naturally choose or might even feel uncomfortable with. During the role play exercises, participants will be confronted with problematic behaviours and receive first hand advice on how to deal with these difficulties.
