This is a one-day training event, focusing on one specific form of problematic behaviour: false accusations. This form of deviant behaviour can lead to significant distress and discomfort for the accused and others in their environment. It affects their reputation and has the potential to disrupt or even destroy the accused’s family life and professional career.
Participants will work on real-life cases and explore the motivations and emotional states behind fabricated or exaggerated statements. They will learn how to distinguish between true and false claims. We will discuss investigative strategies in cases of potential false claims, with a special focus on the interview as an investigative tool.
Especially with this form of workplace violence, the re-integration of the falsely accused is a difficult matter that needs a sensitive approach. Therefore, this will also be addressed during the event.
