Work climate survey

Consultatie
In our daily work we often deal with people whose behaviour causes serious problems and risks. However, in some cases the problem is not so much the behaviour of a single person, but the problem lies more broadly within the organisation.
For example, a survey of employees may reveal the perception of undesirable behaviour such as discrimination or conduct disorder, and that people tend to feel unsafe at work. Themes such as work climate, organisational culture and management style become relevant and it can then be useful to find out about experiences and perceptions of groups of employees.
DANTES has the expertise to carry out thorough work climate surveys. Our aim is to identify any toxic and neglected aspects of your organisation. We present a substantiated and detailed picture of the different aspects of the working climate and, if necessary, remedial and preventive measures are advised.

Consultatie
DANTES can help you reduce the likelihood of hiring employees who are vulnerable to exhibiting behaviour that is harmful to your organisation.
Our psychological screening focuses on identifying risks a person poses, and under what work or personal circumstances the likelihood of risky behaviour is increased. We use a combination of background research, personality assessments designed to identify risks and interviews.
After the screening, we provide you with, among other things, concrete advice on how to deal with any identified risks.
DANTES is often used for such research when an organisation wants to hire an employee for a special position. Consider an employee who will have to work under great pressure, who will have to bear a lot of responsibility, or who can cause a lot of damage if undesirable behaviour is displayed.
We also offer guidance and practical advice when employees leave the organisation and physical and reputational risks are involved.

HR officers, compliance or security managers sometimes face challenging conversations. The topic of conversation may be sensitive or personal and in other cases the person to be interviewed may exhibit behaviour that makes the conversation complicated or emotionally difficult. When information needs to be collected, for example in the context of an investigation or other form of fact-finding, several challenges arise and the right expertise and experience are required to collect reliable information in a proper manner.
DANTES specialises in interviewing and has extensive experience in conducting interviews and collecting information by conversation. To give our clients a clear picture of the situation, we gather high-quality information about specific events or incidents and report on them. On this basis, clients can make informed decisions.

People who experience the long-term negative effects of socially unsafe behaviour or who have experienced a serious incident once, can be emotionally damaged by it. They sometimes need professional support to process the events or learn to cope more effectively, to function optimally again. DANTES has the expertise to meet this need.
In exceptional cases, more severe Psychotrauma is involved, and intensive care is needed. DANTES will then refer to external professionals with whom they have built a close working relationship.

Beoordeling van anonieme bedreiging en - stalking

Consultatie
Anonymous threats and stalking are forms of concerning behaviour. The author of a threat wants to hide his identity. This phenomenon does seem to be increasingly common. It may be explained by developments in social media and increasing online communication.
We see anonymous threats and stalking occurring in various contexts. From employees suddenly receiving letters with unusual content, to disturbing communications addressed to public figures such as journalists, actors, judges, company directors or government officials such as ministers or mayors. It also happens that companies receive letters threatening to make products they manufacture, unsuitable or harmful to consumers.
Our case experience shows that, in many cases, anonymity increases the victim's fear, especially when multiple messages are received. The anonymity appears to add additional uncertainty to the victim's already existing fear. Questions that victims have vary from; ‘how dangerous is this person’, ‘will this escalate to serious violence’ to ‘what can I do to stop this’ and ‘should I take measures to protect myself and my family’.
DANTES has extensive experience in analysing and assessing these cases. Knowledge about the ‘anonymous threat’ phenomenon, as well as years of operational experience with offender profiling, means that DANTES has the expertise to provide sound advice and support in these cases.
We investigate information, assess risks and recommend follow-up steps. If required, we carry out investigative actions to identify the source of the unwanted communication.

Assessment of behaviour of concern

Consultatie
Organisations may face persistent or seriously unsafe behaviour that can put pressure on employees' sense of safety. Fear and uncertainty grow, and people start to wonder what else the person in question might do.
‘What is the likelihood of more serious problem behaviour’? ‘Who in the organisation is at risk’? ‘If escalation is a real possibility, in what timeframe and to what extent can it be expected’? These are just some of the questions that an organisation struggles with more in the case of, for example, a client who continuously files complaints and starts legal proceedings, an employee who makes bizarre or violent statements, an employee who is stalked, reports abuse of power by a supervisor or accuses a colleague of sexually transgressive behaviour.
Our first goal is to identify and understand workplace behaviour and dynamics. We do this by gathering information and assessing behaviour. In many cases, the client needs an assessment of the risk of escalation, violence or persistence. DANTES assesses the safety risks to employees, as well as the impact on issues such as business operations and risk of reputational damage.
DANTES uses psychological tools to structure the investigation and gain insight into the nature of the behaviour, the underlying motives and the risks. We provide concrete advice on how to stop the behaviour or ensure it does not escalate further.
In exceptional cases, our advice will be to report the incident, and it may be useful to also involve external authorities such as the police, the safety house or the Mental Health Service. DANTES will make these contacts for you and offer advice, guidance and support throughout the process. If personal security is required, we also have a network of specialists who offer tailor-made security in cooperation with DANTES.
