Reflective Listening

Good listening is an art and an essential skill in communication. Often, we hear what someone is saying but do not really listen. Without effective listening, you miss the heart of what the other person means, be it a colleague, client or employee.

During this one-day training course Reflective Listening teaches conscious and active listening so that you follow conversations better and connect more strongly with your interlocutor.

During this training you will learn:

The difference between hearing and listening and how to listen more effectively
Different forms of listening and their impact on the other person
Practical techniques such as open-ended questioning, summarising and listening
Reflective listening: give feedback on what you have observed and test this.

The training is a mix of theory, interaction and practical exercises. You will practise listening skills with practical examples and various assignments, both individually and in pairs. After this training, you will feel more confident in your listening skills and know how to actively use them.
